Sweatox is a targeted injectable treatment designed to reduce excessive underarm sweating. Small amounts of botulinum toxin are placed superficially into the sweat glands to temporarily block the nerve signals responsible for overactive perspiration. Sweat production decreases whilst surrounding muscle activity remains unaffected.
The procedure typically takes around ten minutes and discomfort is minimal. Results may last between six and nine months depending on individual response and metabolic rate. Those who undergo treatment often describe a significant improvement in comfort and confidence.
